What this site collects, who receives it, and how to limit it.

Tracking scripts

Two tracking scripts load on this site, for every visitor, as soon as a page opens: Whop’s on every page, and Meta’s on every page except a payment link. The site does not ask first, and there is no cookie banner. Each one sets a cookie so it can recognize your browser on a later visit.

The site also keeps its own count of page visits, with no cookie. It records which page was opened, the site or campaign link you arrived from, and whether you were on a phone or a computer. Your internet address is not stored. It is scrambled together with your browser type and the date into a short code, kept so one visitor is counted once that day, and that code changes every day.

Meta’s pixel tells Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, which pages you open and which buttons you press. When you send the quote form or the free site review, it also reports that a request was sent. It is here so advertising on Facebook and Instagram can be measured.

Whop’s pixel tells Whop which pages you open, how long you stay, the page you came from and details of your browser and device, including a fingerprint that can recognize your browser without a cookie. It also picks up the name and email address you type into the quote form or the free site review, as you fill them in and before you press send. Whop also takes payments for LetsLaunch, and its pixel is here to show which visits lead to a payment.

How to limit it

An ad blocker, or a browser set to block trackers, will usually stop Meta’s pixel. Whop’s pixel is newer and a blocker may not catch it yet. The site works the same with both blocked.

A Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser changes nothing here. Both scripts load either way.

If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, Meta’s ad preferences (opens in a new tab) let you choose whether Meta uses your activity on other sites, such as this one, to pick the ads you see. That setting does not stop the pixel from sending the activity.

If you would rather not have your details picked up as you type, email hello@letslaunch.co instead of using the forms.

What you send

The quote form, the free site review and the short form at the top of the home page ask for your name or business, your email address and some detail about your project or your current site. A phone number is optional. When you press send, that is saved in the LetsLaunch database and emailed to Jacob, who uses it to reply to you, along with which form you used and the site or campaign link you arrived from. One short email goes to the address you gave to confirm it arrived. The server uses your IP address to limit repeat submissions and does not store it with your message.

The domain checker sends the name you type to the LetsLaunch server, which looks it up in public DNS records and does not save it.

Client accounts for the portal are set up by Jacob, each with a username and a password. Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to a year. Requests sent from the portal are saved and emailed to Jacob in the same way.

Payments

Payments are taken by Whop on a private pay link. Card details are entered in Whop’s checkout, which Whop runs inside the page, and they do not pass through LetsLaunch. Whop’s checkout loads other services it relies on, such as Stripe, to process the payment and check for fraud. After a payment, Whop notifies LetsLaunch, and Jacob is emailed the amount, what it was for, how it was paid and who paid.

Your sound setting is stored locally in this browser only. It is not sent to the LetsLaunch server.
