The headache
A media company is judged by its own site before anyone looks at the work. It had to be quiet enough to frame photographs, and a booking enquiry had to reach a person. It was also sitting on a hosted builder.
In the way: An enquiry that lands in a form inbox gets answered late.
What I built: A booking brief goes straight to the owners.
In the way: A large gallery is the first thing to break when a site moves.
What I built: The whole gallery came across intact when the site moved off its hosted builder.
In the way: Five kinds of work can turn a home page into a menu.
What I built: Portraits, cars, corporate, events and weddings each get one short column on a single row, and the site is seven pages, not one long scroll.

A Los Angeles media company shooting portraits, cars, corporate, events and weddings. The brief was restraint: a single held image, a lot of air, and a booking path that reaches the owners directly instead of parking a lead in a form nobody reads.

The look, and why
A media company is judged on how it frames other people's work, so the site is built as a frame: every structural surface is #0a0a0a or #1a1a1a, and nothing structural is allowed to be saturated. Space Grotesk carries the display at 115px and JetBrains Mono carries the captions and credits, so the small type reads as data rather than as more prose. The single red, #e6000d, is a marker and never decoration.
